Sous Chef Pastry (Kuta)

The ideal candidate is an ambitious individual who works well in a team.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Culinary Arts
• At least 2 years of work experience in the hospitality industry as a Sous Chef Pastry
• Basic cooking experience and ability to work well in a team
• Food Safety Certificate / Trade Certificates 
• Good communication skills and the ability to receive and carry out instructions
• Verbal communication skills with good command of the English language
• Able to prioritize and carry out tasks with effective time management
• Honest, reliable, and a good team player
• Keen, ambitious, full of passion, integrity, and energy
• Proactive and taking initiative with hands-on approach
• Be cooperative with a team member

Responsibilities:

• Direct, control, and coordinate the activities of all chefs and kitchen hands engaged in preparing and cooking pastry, to ensure an efficient, profitable, and smooth food service at all times.
• Supervise all aspects of pastry production to ensure established standards are maintained.
• Ensure standards of hygiene and sanitation of the Kitchen are maintained at all times.
• Assist with pastry preparation and production at all times.
• Ensure all equipment is handled correctly and reports any faults to maintenance.
• Assist in buffet set up or special theme parties and participates with new ideas to improve and establish a business.
• Assist in kitchen administration duties and may deputize for the Executive Chef as and when necessary.
• Develops attractive menus and creates standard recipe cards with pictorials according to the Executive Chef policy.
