Requirements:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts
- At least 2 years Work Experience in Hospitality Industry in a kitchen role at Sous Chef level
- Basic cooking experience and ability to work well in a team
- Food Safety Certificate / Trade Certificates
- Good communication skills and the ability to receive and carry out instructions
- Verbal communication skills with good command of English language
- Able to prioritise and carry out tasks with effective time management
- Honest, reliable and a good team player
- Keen, ambitious, full of passion, integrity and energy
- Proactive and taking initiative with hands on approach
- Be cooperative with team member
Responsibilities:
- Direct, control and coordinate the activities of all chefs and kitchen attendants engaged in preparing and cooking food, to ensure an efficient, profitable and smooth food service at all times.
- Ensure punctuality and appearance standards of all the Kitchen Team Members assigned to outlet or shift.
- Assign specific duties to all Kitchen Team Members.
- Recommend team members recruitment, transfer and disciplinary matters to the Executive Chef.
- Supervise all aspects of food production to ensure established standards are maintained.
- Ensure standards of hygiene and sanitation of the Kitchen are maintained at all times.
- Assist with food preparation and production during busy periods and when required.
- Ensure all equipment is handled correctly and reports any faults to maintenance.
- Assist in buffet set up or special theme parties and participates with new ideas to improve and establish business.
- Assist in kitchen administration duties and may deputise for the Executive Chef as and when necessary.
