Are you a strong negotiator with solid experience within the hospitality industry? An international hotel group with a collection of hotels in Australia, Hong Kong, and Bali is searching for a Purchasing Manager to join their team immediately.
Requirements:
- Local candidate only
- 3 years relevant experience preferably in Hotel industry
- Degree/Diploma of Purchasing, Business Administration or relevant disciplines
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in inventory control and cost management
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the purchase of products and services for the best price and value
- Oversee all operational weekly POs order quality or special requests before sent to supplier
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Generate and update reports for management/accounts review
- Manage the inventories
- Analyse consumption
- Cutting any waste any unnecessary costs to create a streamlined process and fast production times
- Work with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively
- Build strong working relationships both internally and with key suppliers nationally and internationally
- Contract management and negotiation
- Understand and keep up with new trends and regulations in the business
- Understand technology and manage online systems
- Source products/materials and services and find creative solutions
- Update hotels and management for any change in product/price/packaging
- Monitor supplier’s performance and quality
- Review/approve/forward all procurement invoices for approval
- Follow up payments with accounting and bank-in slips to suppliers
- Allocate monthly order/ad hoc/special order goods from warehouse
