In-house Legal Council (Kuta)

One of Bali’s leading international luxury hospitality companies is looking for an In-house Legal Council to start immediately.

The role consists of general involvement in the company’s legal administration in all geographical areas of the company’s operations, as and when required. It is primarily concerned with the improvement of legal oversight of all documentation, agreements, policies, and procedures within the company.

Requirements:

• Expat candidates only
• A minimum of 5 years out of law school
• Must be a qualified lawyer
• A background in hospitality and tourism is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Giving accurate and timely advice to executives in a variety of legal topics such as labour law, joint ventures, and partnerships, international multi-jurisdiction trading, corporate finance, etc.
• Communicating and negotiating with external parties (eg. regulators, external counsel, local authorities, etc.)
• Providing clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Maintaining current knowledge of alteration in legislation and other regulations.
• Drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts and other legal documentation to ensure the Group’s compliance and protection of its legal rights.
• Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
